Today during church during the greeting time I was reminded by a young lady the importance of “Joy” not by a word that was said but by the joy that showed all over her face. It made me think about how important it is to not only have the joy of Christ but to share it with those we come into contact with. Thanks for the lesson you taught me this morning.
We find in Nehemiah 8:10: "Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."
Joy is important because the "joy of the Lord is your strength!" This Joy produces strength, and this strength is needed to to face the battles or fights along the way. As seen in 1st Timothy 6:12 you are called to "fight the good fight of faith" Sometimes I think we lose that fight because we don’t have the joy. Let’s take the lesson I learned this morning and share the Joy that God gives us to those we come into contact with.
Dear Lord I pray that the joy you promise for me I will take it and let it show in my life. I want to have a joy that those I come into contact with will see it and want to have the same relationship I have with you. Help me to always seek after your joy. In Jesus’ name, Amen
