2 Corinthians 9:5-6 (ESV)
5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to go on
ahead to you and arrange in advance for the gift you have promised, so that it
may be ready as a willing gift, not as an exaction. 6 The point is this:
whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully
will also reap bountifully.
In farming you cannot access a harvest without sowing the
seed. Farmer Brown can stand in his field all day and ask Got to bless him with
a harvest. But unless Farmer Brown has planted his seed, his prayers will do no
good.
So if you have a need, the question is, did you plant a
seed? Without the seed, it can rain and the sun can shine, but nothing is going
to happen because when it comes to experiencing God’s grace, it must be
accessed.
Have you sown your seed? If not, where would be a good
place to start?
Dear Lord, help us to focus on planting the seeds in our
life that we need to. We thank You that You will honor the work that we do. In the
Name of Jesus, Amen.
