these I will bring to my holy mountain
and give them
joy in my house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and sacrifices
will be
accepted on my altar;
for my house will be called
a house of
prayer for all nations.
Our vote and our opinion count. I encourage you to
vote. Share your voice. Want me to tell you how to vote? Here
it goes ... do what God tells you to do in your Spirit. Nothing more and
nothing less.
In the next few lines, I want to share some thoughts I have been
having through this election year (and it seems to have been a very looooong
year of that campaign stuff).
God says:
Psalm 33:12 (nlt) --- Blessed is the nation whose God is
the LORD,The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.
Our pledge has this
phrase:
"... one nation, under God ..."
Our money displays this quote:
"In God we trust"
Our leaders both local and national say:
"God bless America"
Are these things true? Yes, they are. Do we hold them?
Those of us who believe God do hold them. But how do we share with
the world around us our heart and passion and love for this nation that so
needs Jesus? We do that by not giving up (no matter who is elected).
We live this by sharing what we believe (based on what the Bible says).
We choose to make the most of the time we have (because God uses our
lives and testimonies to lead others to Himself.
What's the point? America
needs God. And God has chosen you!!! He has chosen you and me,
His kids, to press on with His truth in a nation and at a time when others
desperately need Him. Get out and vote. Do your part and vote based
on what God says to your heart.
This election day, I
encourage you to vote. I encourage you to make sure you share your heart
and let God make the most of all He has given you! Please join me in
praying for this election.
Romans 13:1 (nlt) --- Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For
all authority comes from God, and those in positions
of authority have been placed there by God.
Dear Lord tomorrow is Election Day here in America. We vote every
two years but every four years is a time for us to elect a single person who is
seen as the leader of freedom in the world. We pray for wisdom and seek the Your
knowledge to know where to put our vote. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
