Bad Day? or Trusting God?

How you can tell when it's going to be a rotten day:

You wake up face down on the pavement.

You call Suicide Prevention and they put you on hold.

You see a "60 Minutes" news team waiting in your office.

Your birthday cake collapses from the weight of the candles.

You turn on the news and they're showing emergency routes out of the city.

Your twin sister forgot your birthday.

Your boss tells you not to bother to take off your coat.

The bird singing outside your window is a buzzard.

You wake up and your braces are locked together.

You call your answering service and they tell you it's none of your business.

Your income tax check bounces.

You put both contact lenses in the same eye.

Remember that you do not have the job of worrying about things. You do not have the job of fixing the world. You do not have to fear the things of this world. You are to take comfort in the fact that God loves you. You need to find out just how much He loves you. You are not on the earth by accident. He has a place for you, a job for you, a future for you. Find out your place. Rest in the protection He provides.

The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade on your right hand.

The sun will not smite you by day, Nor the moon by night.

The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul.

The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in From this time forth and forever.

- Psalm 121:5-8 (New American Standard Bible)

Dear Lord, we pray that we will face each day with the remembrance that you are always there for us, and that we don’t have to worry about the things that come our way. In Jesus’ Name Amen
