Today was of those days you love and that you don’t like. It all started about 15 years ago when my wife and I started teaching second grade Sunday school. Who would have thought that we would again teach him in sixth grade Sunday school, go on a mission trip to West Virginia then work side by side with him in the youth ministry at church? That brings us to15 years later. Today in Sunday school after much prayer and counseling from those he trusts and respects he announced to the group that he was the new Youth Minister at a local church. Though my emotions say “NO” I want you to stay here and serve here I know in my heart this is where God wants him. I am so thrilled to see Michael and his wonderfull girl friend Tabatha take this step together to use the many talents God has given them to reach out to young people in our community. May God bless both of you as you serve our Mighty God. Please take the time to pray for them and those in your church that serve each and every week.
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
- Matthew 28:18-20
Dear Lord, we pray today for those that feel the call upon their heart and answer it. We pray that as they serve that we would be there for the encouragment they need. In Jesus’s Name, Amen
